本書は、あり得る家族のかたち・家族の定義を想像するためのエクササイズブックとして制作されました。レクチャーパフォーマンス作品《家族に関する考察のトリロジー》をさらに発展させてまとめた一冊ですが、実存する法律や制度から着想を得て、すべて「あなた」を主語に書き下ろされた指示・説明は、読者にとって理想的な家族像を自由に描くための思考実験を促すものになっています。
本の判型は、個人のアイデンティティを証明するパスポート規格のサイズになっており、表紙は国の境界線のない月面や、人間の皮膚を思い出させるような加工がされた紙を使用しています。また、制度を通してさまざまな国に漂うような本の内容を反映し、「白いパスポート」という造本に仕上がりました。

Book
An exercise book for imagining possible family forms and various definitions of ‘family’. Inspired by existing laws and institutions and written in the second person perspective with 'you' as the subject, the instructions and explanations in this exercise book is a thought experiment that allows the reader to freely create their own ideal family.
The book is made to the size of a standard passport—an important document that is used as a proof of identity. The cover uses textured paper that reminds one of human skin, or the moon's surface where there are no national boundaries. The resulting design is a 'white passport’, drifting between different laws and systems.
